Różopol

A village, manor on lands belonging to Żerań was established in the 19th century close to the Modliński route. Until the beginning of the 20th century Różopol was a village on the outskirts of Warsaw on the exit route from Warsaw on the Modlińska Street. However, it was the only village situated in today’s Białołęka district, which was incorporated into Warsaw after 1916. After World War II the Żerań Heat and Power Station was built where Różopol had once been.

The project ‘Protecting the habitats of priority bird species of the Vistula Valley under conditions of intensive pressure of the Warsaw agglomeration’ (wislawarszawska.pl) has received a grant from the Financial Instrument for the Environment (LIFE+) and from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
