Kępa Tarchomińska

In the past called Holendry Tarchomińskie, it is a small village on the outskirts of Warsaw by the Vistula River located on a typical Vistula islet opposite Łomianki. In 1951 it was included within the Warsaw municipality borders together with other neighbouring villages. Currently it is a small estate in the northeastern part of Warsaw in the Białołęka district. It is made up of a few dwellings located along the Vistula dykes.

The project ‘Protecting the habitats of priority bird species of the Vistula Valley under conditions of intensive pressure of the Warsaw agglomeration’ (wislawarszawska.pl) has received a grant from the Financial Instrument for the Environment (LIFE+) and from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
